Her Story
June Marie Davis
June Marie is a Brooklyn-born multidisciplinary artist working across writing, producing, acting, and directing. A graduate of Brooklyn College with a Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies, she has built a reputation for creating compelling and character-driven work across film, digital media, and theater.
Her screen projects include Trapped, Before They Vanish, The Telling, and Beauty’s Keeper. She is also the creator of the acclaimed comedy web series The GO TO, which has cultivated a dedicated following online. For her work in comedy, she is a two-time recipient of the B Free Award for Outstanding Humor (2023 and 2025), presented at the annual B Free Awards.
Born to a Puerto Rican mother and an African American father, June Marie draws on her cultural background to inform her storytelling and perspective. Although she did not initially envision a career in film or theater, she pursued her creative ambitions with determination. After earning a production certification from the New York Film Academy and completing her degree at Brooklyn College, she made the bold decision to leave her full-time job to fully invest in her creative path.
In 2024, June Marie made her theatrical debut with The Pub, a heartfelt tribute to her late grandmother. The production earned a Best Production nomination at the New York Theater Festival (Spring/Summer 2024). She continues to expand her work for the stage with her sophomore play, The Cause Is You, which was selected as the Winter 2026 recipient of the Episcopal Actors’ Guild Open Stage Grant.
June Marie remains committed to telling meaningful, resonant stories across mediums while continuing to develop new film, digital, and theatrical projects.
